This is
a spoof on that whole "kids learn to kill from video games" theory that's
recently come up (again) due to the futile shootings. Yeah, I certainly remember
playing Galaga and wanting to taste blood... I can't even begin to tell you how
many Germans I've shot thanks to Wolfenstein! I mean I don't dress up like Mario
when I unclog the drain, and I don't dress up like Sonic when I collect rings
to get the chaos emerald.
Oh well, at least we know Pac Man isn't responsible
for this... it's a "sniper" not "some crazy schmuck throwning yellow
nerf balls out of a car window." I know from playing years upon years of
Centipede for my Atari 7800 that I'm desensitized to the idea of killing a centipede...
or is it that I scream like a little girl, run down the stairs, and make my mom
kill it? Well, perhaps it was she who played too much Centipede... I'm on to you,
mom... (These comments are in particular response to this
article, which you'll notice is not by my favorite
newspaper [Bonita Banner]).
This
could make an appearance on fact or fiction. "Did this really happen? *long
pause* Not this time, but it probably has somewhere." Linz left the shirt
design up to me. When I saved this as a bmp "Echo People" read fine,
but as a gif? It is not so... Well, it adds to the comic anyway.
I also don't
think Lindsey's mom played Centipede...she just watched MacGuyver all day long
in the 80's...and the 90's... Hell, she was watching MacGuyver when I went up
there this summer.
